Encapsulating Fun and Joy with a Baby Footprint

Friday, February 29th, 2008

By Richard Andrew In those first few months following the birth of a precious newborn visitor to this world, the parents are often too busy to recall much of those first special moments in a child’s life. If it’s their firstborn, they are often full of the worries of parenthood, wondering whether they can do things better, wondering how other parents manage to do all the things that need to be done. If it’s their second or third child, they are also busy looking after the other children, or perhaps relieved that they have elder children to look after their latest arrival; and relieved that they have a few moments to grab a rest. Of course, many parents will be clicking away on a camera or letting their camcorder whir away to record any precious moments for posterity. It’s a part of life that parenthood occurs for most of us at the busiest times in our life. We have so many other things going on, and so little time to look after those things that are more precious to us. It always seems that we wish we had time to do those extra meaningful little things; things we will look back at when we are older and wish we had done; time seems to rush faster and faster. If we are out shopping, we try to reduce the number of shops we go to; keeping to buying the basic supplies. Whether people like to acknowledge it or not, access to the Internet is proving more and more useful. People find that they can trust and buy many products on the Internet while simply at home; perhaps with their newborn baby on their knees. It can actually be enjoyable to browse the Web now, as search engines are becoming more efficient at finding what they need. When the little baby has finally fallen asleep, there are so few shops are open. It’s a good time to browse; to catch up with the fun of life; catch up with precious little moments of life. One of those simple little joys and that you can share as parents and child - or as a larger family, at a family gathering perhaps - is a simple making of a baby ink footprint. This has the great advantage of not taking up too much time and getting the result that is decorative and attractive, that can be framed and that will mean so much later in life a real little heirloom. Many of us have little fears of growing old which stop us from investigating what it will be like for us. We see our parents and grandparents getting old, but don’t really believe it will happen to us that quickly - it will be different for us. Alas no! When we are old and the children have left the home, we may search our memory and find little there. It will be at these times perhaps that we will feel some regret that we didn’t spend more time with our precious offspring; didn’t share more special moments with them. It’s quite surprising how many different baby handprint crafts there are that can be revolved around making a baby footprint. It can even be a handprint. You can get creative. You could try making a collage of your baby’s different creations as he or she grows up. Just imagine that your child has just painted some beautiful flowers and its Mothers day or Fathers day coming soon. If you already had a little handprint of your child, you can scan or photocopy it combined with the drawing of the flowers; something very simple, but meaningful to parents. There often seems to be little meaning in life, but for the simple pleasures - a few moments of happiness here and there. The tiny handprint or baby footprint reminds you of earlier joys experienced and just how small your child was so long ago - how much joy you got. You can look at the lines on a hand and wonder what they mean. You may find a friend, or even develop an interest yourself, in hand reading later and be fascinated to see all those little scrawls and whorls of lines. It was many years ago that I met Hungarian gypsy who fascinated us with his descriptions of different people’s lines on their hands. I even bought a book on palmistry to while away the hours on an Indian train journey, and even got insights into my own personality. I came to learn that the lines on hand change, that they are not fixed. Many people are fascinated by the future, what the future holds in store for them and their children. It can be a source of wonderment when, later in life, you’re able to look back at your own hand and with a knowing sigh say, Ah yes, I thought so! Self-Esteem

Friday, February 29th, 2008

By Daniel Okula It begins with you, and your attitude. There are a lot of misconceptions about what type of guys women date. Most guys start thinking, oh they only date the rich guys with thick wallets, or those supermodel guys who look super hot. First off, if you’re looking to find a date, you need to stop comparing yourself to other guys. This show isn’t about those guys with Porsches and Ferrari’s, it’s about you. Believing that you can get a date will help you become more confident. If everyday, you think of yourself as a loser, then honestly, you will remain a loser. Actions have to come from you; the will to succeed and strive has to come from your desire. Sitting around and feeling like crap won’t help to your cause, trust me. Now that we have focusing on yourself, and confidence taken care of, most guys start to be very self-conscious about their looks. Let’s face it, not everyone looks like Brad Pitt, and there’s nothing you can do about that it’s all genetics. What you can do, is start changing your habits and push them into tune. Brush your teeth regularly, shower everyday, buy some fancy deodorant (Axe, Old Spice), comb your hair (gel, hairspray), and most of all wear a comfortable yet good-looking outfit depending on where you go everyday. If your still in school or college, wear something casual, if you’re low on cash, visit some of the cheaper stores maybe in an outlet mall and look for coupons. There’s no excuse for not keeping yourself in shape either! Now comes the hard part, facing the real world when approaching a girl. You have to break that shy bubble that you’re sitting in. Being silent, and thinking inside your head of all the things you COULD be doing, will not benefit anything. If you’re worried that you come to work everyday, and if you mess up your life will be ruined, then don’t try to find a date or flirt there! There are a lot of social gatherings, clubs, theaters, plays, etc. where there are plenty of women to pick up. You should use this opportunity to experiment. Start talking, and joking around, the most important thing of all: try to have some fun. You will be surprised by all the success, and even if you do say something dumb or silly, there’s no need to worry because you’re not going to be seeing that person everyday anyway. Hopefully these are a few helpful tips to raise your self-esteem. The key is to be confident, don’t sweat, and have a good time. It’s Not a Distant Dream: Zoom on the Wheels of Your Choice

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Arsha_Hanif]Arsha Hanif You always fancied having a Ferrari or that red Merck which John Travolta was driving in a movie. Dreaming is not a sin, but you need to realise that dreaming will not get you that car; you will have to work for it. Working and saving would take you an entire lifetime. Now be smart and avail a car loan and set on the wheels you have always dreamt of. Work later and pay off for the dream fulfilled. Car loans are of different types. You can benefit from the following types: * New car loans * Used car loans * Bad credit car loans If you want to get the best deal in car loans then all you have to do is to compare prices and select the best terms according to your financial condition. You can aim for a secured car loan if you have collateral to engage. This deal would be quite beneficial to you because you will get: * Low rates as interest *Easy repayment plans However, if you go in for unsecured [http://www.loans11.co.uk/personal-car-loan.html ]car loan the cons may outweigh the pros attached. You will be levied with high interest rates, payment plans will vary on the negotiations you make but of course your property will not be at stake and the processing of the loan will be faster as less paper work will be attached. In case, you are a defaulter you would have to take abundant care to negotiate for the best low rates for your car. In such a situation one must try to get a cheap deal so that along with the car of your dreams you can also improve your credit rating and get the next finance handy. Being a victim of poor credit rating should not bar you from possessing the car you dream of. If you are a homeowner then nothing like it. You can always put your home as collateral or get the car loan against the home equity. Too Many Lawyers Killing American Small Business

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

By Lance Winslow Recently I got into it with a wet-behind the ears Law Student, telling me a 40-year old entrepreneur that the reason I was so successful was because of lawyers making everyone do the right thing? I was polite at first but then launched into a tirade of all the nerve this punk 24-year old law student was telling me how wonderful lawyers are? What a crock of crap! As a matter of fact this is why I am retired. So I should thank the G-darn lawyers for all my hard work, I see? Well that is interesting. Did you know that our laws slow down civilization and our economy more than Greenspans interest rate hikes? All the over regulation is truly insane. Every time I make a deal, no matter how small I have to make sure it is written down and all the legaleez are correct. That is a waste of time. Every time I make a deal someone tries to change the deal after it is made by using their attorney; too many attorneys screwing up the progress of man. You see I truly believe if we cut down the number of lawyers to only 5% of what they are today and downsized the blob of bureaucracy and over regulation we would be experiencing the same level of growth as China is today. While I was working I always said that; We are trying to build the greatest franchise system ever created which will benefit the consumer by having reliable services and a representative who cares about their needs. Every time we try to progress we have to worry about some extra clause to put into our contracts to insure that our franchisees maintain that quality control for the betterment of the consumer. Yet a franchisee may determine it is too much work to do it right and rather than do it correctly they can simply find a loophole in the contract in some jurisdiction somewhere, match the venue to fit and Whala! They can do whatever they want thus hurting the customer and our goodwill, our vision and our dream. How can a company keep its standards and build its brands with lawyers and government morons, scum and scoundrels telling them how to run their business, interact with their customers and grow their companies. Stupid linear thinking in the regulatory realm and greedy self-serving bastards and parasites of humanity lawyers; what too harsh? Well thats my opinion and observation and I have right to say it, so you will have to deal with it. Thank God we still have freedom of the press and free speech, well at least for now? “Lance Winslow” - Online Think Tank forum board. What’s Preventing You Finding Your Mr. Right?

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

By Michael Myerscough There may be many reasons why you haven’t found your perfect partner yet. Here’s one of the main reasons many of my clients haven’t found theirs, and how you can eliminate it as a problem from your life. BTN Relationships BTN? Better than nothing. That may sound cruel, but you can spend months certainly and often years going out with men that, deep down, you know aren’t the one. What you have in these relationships is partial compatibility. Sometimes you’ll meet someone who ticks most of the boxes on your checklist but not all of them. At this point you have a choice to make, do you move on immediately or not? Most of us have at some point been in a relationship that was almost it. It’s easily possible to spend years trying to get a relationship to work when it isn’t really what you want. In itself that isn’t necessarily bad, we learn amazing things about ourselves in any relationship and we’re generally going to grow through the experience. However if your long term goal is to get married and set up home or to have kids then you might want to do a better job of protecting your time. There is a saying within time management philosophy which states that ‘the great should never be at the mercy of the good.’ So how do you prevent yourself from getting stuck in a relationship with just the good? How do you ensure you don’t get stuck in BTNs over and over again, spending years of your life in relationships that aren’t going to last? The 3 Month Rule One of my dating clients Sheila, who’s been very successful recently, told me of a strategy she’s developed that she calls the three month rule. Sheila is convinced that this particular rule has already saved her a couple of years in her pursuit of Mr. Right. She was good enough to give me her permission to share it with you, so here it is. It’s very easy to understand in theory: If whoever you’re seeing isn’t lighting your lights after three months together then you move on. The things you want to be taking into account include the following: Is this person you’re dating making enough time for you? Do you feel truly loved by them? Do you feel like they are one of your best friends? Do you feel like you can really trust your date? Do you still fancy the pants off them? Hopefully you get the general gist of where these questions are going. Sheila’s approach, which I think is brilliant, is to give it a maximum of three months to decide. This allows the relationship time to evolve and may allow you to work out some of the places where you initially feared there would be some level of conflict. Personally I’ve always like three as a number, there’s a beginning, a middle and then the conclusion. After three months it should be possible for you to make an informed decision about whether your potential Mr. Right is actually right for you. Your understanding of this all hinges on whether you have a clear idea of what makes a partner perfect for you. If you aren’t clear on that then it makes it extremely difficult to leave. And remember, you’ll be leaving people before you’ve argued the relationship to death and it often feels much harder as you still love them. The upside in my experience both personally and professionally is that in the long run you get to keep someone who still feels like a friend even if youre not going to be lovers. It’s Not About the Bunnies

Monday, February 25th, 2008

By Carolina Fernandez Just when we thought spring had finally arrived, we got blasted with snow flurries and wretched weather all day Saturday. Rain mixed with snow and sleetand spring spirits dashed right along with hopes of getting anything done outside in the gardenor of simply catching a whiff of fresh spring air. Because my calendar tells me that spring has officially arrivedwere ten days into it for crying out loud and chocolate bunnies, eggs and marshmallow chicks line rack upon rack of grocery store shelves after allyet my eyes tell me that winter is indeed, still in our midstwe cannot leave our homes without bulky overcoats and sweatersIm caught between the desire for celebrating springs freshness and vitality with the inescapable resignation that winter, at least up here in New England, is still here. Such is Holy Week. We want so badly to celebrate the Resurrection at Easter, but we feel overcome with the passion and trial of the days leading from Palm Sunday through Good Friday. This season signalsaround the worldtime for reflection. During Holy Week, we moveday by dayfrom sadness to enthusiasm. From the valley of darkness to the tunnel of light. And that entails conflict. Many of us feel conflicted these days. Overall, general conflictedness. The war in Iraq might be bogging us down in one way or another; college acceptance and rejection letters might be cause for overall malaise or even panic; and figuring out the calendar for summer activities for your kids in light of your own schedule might be more than you can emotionally handle. Ive been unusually conflicted lately. Ill most likely be re-entering the official workforce in the next few weeks or months, and Ive been interviewing, taking tests and talking with lots of different folks from varied areas of the work-world in an effort to nail down what I should be doing with myself, professionally, for the next oh, twenty years or so. A huge decision. Were trying to figure out how to transition from having a mom in the home to having one gone during the day; how to shuffle kids to various activities without a mom-chauffeur yet with a new teen driver on our roster; and yet how to deal with the financial reality of multiple college tuition bills for most of the foreseeable future which, in and of itself is enough to cause discomfort. Perhaps my family just has too many balls in the air. Too many unanswered questions. Too many variables in the equation. Yet as I look around, I see so many others facing conflict and discomfort. I cannot go one week without receiving an email or a phone call from a reader whose family member is struggling with one problem or another. Financial problems, health concerns, relationship issues. Most of us hate being uncomfortable. We hate conflict. Hate uncertainty. Hate dealing with the struggle in order to celebrate the victory. And yet thats the real lesson of Holy Week. However tempting it is to focus your thoughts and energies this week on the celebration of Easteron resurrection and renewalI hope that you allow yourself some quiet time to sort out the conflicts and discomforts of Maundy Thursday and of Good Friday. To focus on the sacrifice. For as you grow more fully aware of the sacrifice that Christ made on your behalf, you will gain immeasurable joy at the power of the Resurrection. And if you are of another faith, please be sensitive to the fact that this week brings with it introspection for millions of people around the world. Passover will be celebrated by Jews and they will have rituals and holy remembrances, too. So as tempting as it is when youre in discomfort, confusedor just in a funkto focus on springs lightheartedness and brightness, on chicks and on chocolate, remember that for a few days anyway, its not about that. Its not about the bunnies. Even though, I admit, theyre taking up inordinate amounts of windowsill and tabletop real estate in my own home these days, and as much as they emotionally lift me out of the doldrums of winter, out of my own confusion and state of disequilibrium and into the sublime celebration of spring, they have little to do with the days ahead of us this week. Go ahead and splurge on chocolate and on baskets. On flowers for your home or in a new outfit or on travel. This is a time for celebration, to be sure, come Easter Day. But allow yourself in the next few days, to internalize the conflict of Holy Week. It is one time of year when your internal struggle should be palpable. For we cannot get to Easter, to victory, without coming to grips with the sacrifice of Good Friday. Throughout life, we cannot get to true celebration without coming to grips with lifes struggle. Stacking Firewood Quickly With a Log Splitter

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

By Greg J. Hansward Does your firewood rack need filled? You could, of course, split the logs by hand with a mallet and wedge. Isnt the old saying true that cutting your own fire wood warms you twice? But, if you would rather be warmed by the wood burning rather than the work of cutting it, a log splitter is a tool that you definitely want to consider. Log splitters are measured in ton capacity. The question of how many tons is a two-fold question. A professional grade splitter is at least twenty tons and those for personal, home use range from two to five tons. The ton size also determines the engines horsepower. Keep in mind that a stronger engine is needed to not burn out after hundreds of logs. The first thing to consider in determining the best size for you is whether it is for personal firewood consumption, furniture making, or commercial building or firewood sales. Obviously, the main benefit of a log splitter is that it makes the job of splitting firewood so much easier and less time consuming. However, log splitters have more uses than just cutting firewood. For example, forestry suppliers use log splitters as the first step in making wood planking or preparing logs for paper making. This king of logging equipment can be used at the forest site to manage trees for transport and prepare wood for particular uses. Following log splitter plans, this step is an important step as it save time and money. A hydraulic log splitter can not only stock you firewood rack, but it can also be used as valuable log furniture tool. There is quite a high demand for the rustic look for cabin and outdoor, nature dcor. Log splitters range in price from a few hundred dollars to several thousands of dollars, even including used splitters. Thus, the next thing to consider is how valuable your time is. If you can manually split ten logs per hour and you earn fifty dollars per hour at your day job, you have hired yourself an extremely well paid log splitter. On the contrary, a hydraulic log splitter of approximately four tons can split ten times the number of logs per hour which results in much cheaper help. Finally, the issue of safety must also be considered. Self-lubricating and maintaining capabilities of log splitters keep them operating as safely as possible. An axe needs regular sharpening since it becomes dull when it hits the dirt. The three main things to consider are safety, time and convenience. They are all worth more than any attempt to warm yourself the old fashioned way by splitting the logs yourself. Even a homeowner who lights a fire in the fireplace for effect more than heat will benefit from the ability to quickly stock the firewood rack using a gas powered hydraulic log splitter. Greg Hansward’s online reports are found on countless online sites linked to hydraulic splitter. You can discover his work on log splitter at http://www.insidewoodworking.com. Hip Resurfacing Surgery Tourism to India

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Dheeraj_Bojwani] Dheeraj Bojwani What is the procedure for Hip Resurfacing Surgery? The actual procedure of Hip Resurfacing surgery is much less invasive than conventional Hip Replacement. The area of arthritis in the hip joint is cleaned and shaved out. The surgery for Hip Resurfacing consists of the femoral head being shaved and re-shaped to accept the metal cap with small guide stem. The size of the femoral head is about 50 mm in diameter. The metal cup is set into the pelvis. The parts mostly used for Hip Resurfacing are made from Cobalt-chrome cast. These parts are shaped precisely by a machine to fit each other with small space for body fluid to lubricate. The backside of the cup has a roughened surface to allow bone to grow into implant. One end of the cup is fixed over the ball of the femur bone, and the other end is fixed into a socket in the pelvic bone called acetabulum. This preserves the body’s vital bone. It takes about one and a half hours to perform the Hip Resurfacing procedure. The hospital stay is only about 5 - 7 days. You will be able to get out of bed and walk within 2 days of the Hip Resurfacing surgery. Advantages of Hip Resurfacing Surgery: Hip resurfacing is a landmark innovation in management of hip arthritis. This is a less traumatic and bone conserving alternative to total hip replacement. Unlike Hip replacement this does not involve the removal of femoral head and neck or removal of bone from femur. Hip resurfacing is anatomically and biomechanically more similar to natural hip joint resulting in increased stability, flexibility and range of motion. The current generation of hip resurfacing device utilizes a metal on metal bearing which lasts much longer than hip replacement. The hip appears to be more durable allowing one to perform higher impact activities. Further dislocation risk is virtually eliminated. It gives much better results than total hip replacement. People are allowed to sit on the floor. They can perform all types of sports and games and enjoy unmatched quality of life. What is the outcome of Hip Resurfacing Surgery? Hip Resurfacing surgery has a 99% success rate. Many adolescent patients have had the Hip Resurfacing procedure with excellent results. Procedure can be done soon after skeletal maturity. Following Hip Resurfacing, there is faster rehabilitation and early discharge from hospital. Hip Resurfacing Surgery in India-saving costs and combining vacations. Trout Streams - How to Find New Streams and Trout Fishing Opportunites

Monday, February 18th, 2008

By Jeffrey Gray Trout fishing, especially with fly tackle, is a venture that can involve careful planning and deliberation. Fishermen like to maximize the time they spend at the stream and will, if necessary, pay top dollar for guide services to lead them to that magical trout pool or get them to that un-fished rapid. This is well and good, and fishing with a local guide is many times the key to enjoying a fishing adventure. However, fishermen seeking trout venues may overlook free resources which are right at their fingertips; namely, their own states online fishing guides. Many trout fishing states spend large amounts of money to breed trout, stock them in streams and preserve the habitat of those streams. Fishing is big business, as is evidenced by issues such as the stocking vs. natural population argument going on over the Batten Kill River in Vermont and the huge effort to fight whirling disease in the Western states. Since states collect money from trout stamps and use that money to pay for stocking streams they have a direct interest (as well as a responsibility) to let sportsmen know where and when those fish are released. Most states stock in the early spring and early autumn, when stream temperatures are most conducive to sustaining farmed fish. For example, the state of Virginia has an excellent trout stocking map and schedule. Virginia has divided its program into zones, each one relegated to a clickable and zoomable map detailing available streams and tied into the stocking schedule. Its great fun to load up and go exploring with the map in hand and quite rewarding to find streams and conditions exactly described by the website. Maryland has a similar, though more exact map to accompany its stocking schedule. It includes boat ramps, handicapped accessible venues and street maps. These two examples barely scratch the surface of what is available. If stocked trout lose their luster, Virginia also details its wild trout program, marking wild trout streams in red on their map. Using these resources fishermen can plot their way to streams they may never have visited or know about. So, before heading out the door to that same old fishing hole do a little research and try something new. Another tool fishermen may find useful is their state’s Department of Natural Resources email list server where and if one exists. One example of a well run information distrubution system for sportsmen is Colorado. Colorado publishes its “DNR Insider”, alerting outdoorsmen to new regulations, opportunities, and stocking information. Vermont is a shining example of a well run outdoor resources website. The state of Vermont sets the standard with interactive maps, schedules, press releases, licensing and more. So, it seems there’s no excuse for not knowing where to go for the trout. With the information available online these days you can’t miss! Dating Red Flag #3: When Good Sex is Bad

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

By Alan Stafford Many people have trouble believing that having wonderful sex on the first date can be a dating problem. We’ve all experienced instant attraction to another person. Or, we believe that what we feel is love at first sight. As a result, some of us give in to our hormones and to our partners. We have sex on the first or second date. Sometimes the sex is so-so, and sometimes it’s okay. But SOMETIMES, its just feels GREAT. What could be wrong with that? How could something that feels so good be so wrong? And, how could it be damaging to a long-term relationship, especially if both of us are really attracted to each other? Why is it bad to have sex so soon? For some of us, its a moral issue. But for all of us, sex too soon in a new relationship is bad because it delays or destroys true intimacy. When a couple is in a passionate embrace, they aren’t talking. Not coherently anyway. They’re not connecting in a personal and emotional way. And this is a serious dating problem. It seems contradictory, and even ironic, that a couple could be physically intimate and yet not know each other as people. But, that’s what happens all the time. A short date somewhere, then a long night together, then eight hours of work, and then another long night full of passion. And so it goes, day after day. But one day you realize that youve been having sex with a stranger. You dont know him any better than when you first started dating. This ignorance wont last forever. The incompatibilities in your relationship will soon become obvious. Your relationship problems may be the result of having sex too early in the relationship. This Sex with a stranger syndrome is a very common problem. In fact, it is one of the major reasons couples suffer so much when they break up. Sexual intimacy, even after the first date, creates a bond with the other person. Its a biological bond created by the orgasmic response and by the release of certain hormones. But its still bonding with a stranger. Eventually, you get to know the stranger better. When you realize you dont really like the person youve come to know, you will still have the bond from the sexual part of the relationship. And that makes the eventual breakup all the more heartbreaking. Do yourself a favor. Get acquainted first, then save the sex for later in the relationship. Yes, you might wait for several months until you really get to know the other person. The time saved by not having sex can be used to learn about your partner emotionally and spiritually. During that time look for any dating problems. Determine your partners strong points and weaknesses. If youre not a match, break up and move on. Spare yourself the emotional devastation that almost always results from losing a lover. When good sex is great You can have physical sex on a first date with any number of people out there. Finding your emotional and spiritual soul mate is rarer, but much more precious. Take the time to get to know your partner before moving into the sexual phase. Talk to him or her on your dates, in emails, or over the phone. Do this for several months. As long as it takes to feel an emotional and spiritual connection. Once youve come to know and admire your partner youll realize that it’s far more satisfying to have sex with someone you cherish than to try to cherish whomever you’re having sex with. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dr. Alan Stafford, Relationship Results CoachI help Singles and Couples build relationships that workwww.relationshipsuccessexperts.com Click here to ask Alan a question about your biggest relationship issuehttp://relationshipsuccessexperts.com/askalan.htm Get our free newsletter for relationship tips and advicehttp://relationshipsuccessexperts.com/subscribe.html 2005 Alan Stafford/Relationship Success Experts ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Alan_Stafford http://EzineArticles.com/?Dating-Red-Flag-3:-When-Good-Sex-is-Bad&id=111695 buy phentermine 37.5 phentermine usa pharmacy cheap phentermine 37.5 dragon pharmacy phentermine
